I spent the majority of my day yesterday comparing the P2 results of Karuna’s drug KarXT vs Reviva’s drug Brilaroxazine vs. the long established medication Aripiprazole (The world’s largest selling psychiatric drug for schizophrenia treatment) , based on published data available on the FDA’s website. P3 detailed results for KarTX are not available yet, so comparing their p3 data vs. Reviva’s p2 isn’t possible (nor appropriate). I wanted to do a ‘deeper dive’ as to date I’ve been working off of press release data and top line research and 3rd party opinions. My position size has grown to the point where I have to get granular on the data.

I’m not a statistician or medical researcher; I am a educated investor and have first hand experience in the use of anti-psychotics by being a primary caregiver for an individual who utilizes these medications. I’ve worked and consulted with psychiatrists for several years regarding the use and management of this drug class, and have done a great deal of independent research in the area.

I can assure you any drug that even modestly improves on effectiveness and / or side effect is a potentially huge deal.

P2 vs P2 results are never a pure ‘apples to apples’ comparison, but they are informative. That being said, without question, reading the data shows that Reviva’s drug delivered substantially superior results to KarTX as well as the world’s most utilized antipsychotic medication, aripiprazole. Reduction in measured symptomatology were substantially better; Reduction of side effect profile was meaningfully better.

Of particular interest to me was how Brilaroxazine performed on the Clinical Global Impression (CGI-S) Scale. This scale measures how mentally ill the patient seems to be in the clinicians’ (research doctors) opinion.
Brilaroxazine performed massively better than KarTX and Aripiprazole. This is very, very, very promising. People with mental health issues have a hard time communicating and judging their experiences; If an objective third party witnesses a massive improvement, that is amazing.

In Summary – In my opinion, p2 results indicate reviva has a drug candidate that is meaningfully more effective than Karuna’s and superior in every way to Aripiprazole, the current largest selling antipsychotic in the world.
